So it's been awhile since my last post. We moved the pups to the country. We are now in Texas Hill country. The dogges are lovin it and the people too! Here are a couple of shots of the place.

Why oldes look so different. ....

As I start on this 21st year in breeding Bulldogs I realize something, the various styles are highly influenced by the breeders past experience. If they raised pits before Oldes, they tend to lean toward more functional bodies and muscles, come from American Bulldogs is very similar, coming from English Bulldogs they only want the most english looking oldes, pet people who turn breeders seem to follow fad until experience reaches them. All very understandable. But can you see how disorganized the results are and how it could get even more messy with the mixing of concepts continues? That's why a standard exists, while at the same time loose standards leave room for style interpretation. No real judgement here, truly just an observation hopefully bridging some understanding. Who is that Yasmeen /Lisa chick anyway???

Here is my story. In 1995 I set out to start a breeding program with Boxers. But it didn’t take long to realize they were not right for me, just to much energy. In 1999 I scrapped the whole thing and started with American Bulldogs. After 12 months of breed research I was sure they were right for me. I got some of the best lines, My first stud was a son of SS Fat Boy Slim then I was lucky enough to buy a pup from CLK who I later named MVP’s Southern Blue Belle of CLK she was one of the first BLUE AB’s. It was all good for me from there. One of the people I studied and talked to was Jamie Sweet but by time I moved to KS to work with her she had Oldes. I went and met the Oldes and I was hooked right out the gate. For years I bred both. I had it good, the keys to the bank, Jamie let me go up and AI to her studs whenever I needed, I always paid on time and we had the perfect working relationship. SHe always had bits of gold to divvy out and I was always waiting to save it...

What to whelp in......

👀🐶👀🐶👀🐶👀🐶👀🐶👀🐶 So Roxxee is set up. Still about a month to go. But I like to watch them and spoil the mommas. Many people think using kiddie pools is the "cheap" way to go. It definitely is. But I'd like to point out that, that's only one benefit. I've seen alot of different set ups. Things I've noticed. Wood whelping boxes get chewed up most often. Plastic pools have round edges so they dont get chewed on as often. Wood is hard to sanitize. Plastic is very easy to sanitize. If for some awful reason you get an illness on your yard and puos get sick, just throw that pool out and get a new clean one. Also plastic gives me the ability to add a heating pad underneath puppies and mommas to help prevent chill. So the next time you see a set up like, rather than thinking....cheap ass......maybe be aware they might have tried all the pricey stuff already and this works for them. 💥🐶❤🐶❤🐶❤🐶♥️💥 WWW.BULLISTIC.DOG 🔥♥️?...
