So Roxxee is set up. Still about a month to go. But I like to watch them and spoil the mommas.
Many people think using kiddie pools is the "cheap" way to go.
It definitely is.
But I'd like to point out that, that's only one benefit.
I've seen alot of different set ups.
Things I've noticed.
Wood whelping boxes get chewed up most often.
Plastic pools have round edges so they dont get chewed on as often.
Wood is hard to sanitize.
Plastic is very easy to sanitize.
If for some awful reason you get an illness on your yard and puos get sick, just throw that pool out and get a new clean one.
Also plastic gives me the ability to add a heating pad underneath puppies and mommas to help prevent chill.
So the next time you see a set up like, rather than thinking....cheap ass......maybe be aware they might have tried all the pricey stuff already and this works for them.
